A thrilling encounter saw the Roos come from behind to secure a crucial 1 point victory. Down by 12 points at halftime, captain Jake Morrison sparked the comeback with a brilliant individual goal in the late in the 3rd quarter. Young gun winger Tommy Chen sealed the win with a spectacular off-the-ground finish in the dying minutes. The defensive effort from Mike Stevens and Danny Walsh was outstanding, making crucial tackles when it mattered most.

New name, same history

The Bayside FA seahorse has found a new home in the Greater Melbourne Soccer Association. The new name reflects the significantly expanded footprint of the competition, with teams now coming from across the broader metropolitan area rather than the traditional bayside and Mornington Peninsula heartland. 

Season launch event

The GMSA will officially kick off its new season with a launch event on 4 March 2026, starting at 7:15pm. The event will be hosted at Play Zone, 11 Ellis St, South Yarra. Players, coaches, officials, and supporters will come together to celebrate community football, and outline key announcements and initiatives for 2026.
